Pakistani batter Mohammed Rizwan was dismissed in a bizarre fashion during the ongoing first match of the Asia Cup 2023 between Pakistan and Nepal at Multan Cricket Stadium.
It all happened on the fourth ball of the 24th over as Sandeep Lamichhane delivered a leg break just outside the off-stump. Rizwan tapped the ball towards extra cover and attempted a quick single.
However, Dipendra Singh Airee, who was stationed at short extra cover, gathered the ball and targeted the stumps at the non-striker’s end and dislodged the bails.
What caught everyone off guard was Rizwan’s lack of effort to extend, drag, or dive his bat to reach the crease, resembling a rather perplexing ‘brainfade’ moment.

Rizwan was totally in the zone until he got out, smacking a boundary just a ball before. He got out at 44 off 50 balls, but not before teaming up with captain Babar Azam for an impressive 86-run stand following a shaky start.
