After teams retained and released players for the IPL 2021, former India opener Aakash Chopra has predicted that Australia pacer Mitchell Strac can emerge as costliest buy in the history of the cash-rich league.
The 14th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is getting close, and all the teams have announced the list of their retained/released players. The trading window has been opened for teams to trade some players before the mini-action, which is expected to take place in the third week of February.

Aakash Chopra: Mitchell Starc Can Become Most Expensive IPL Buy Ever
The cricketer-turned-commentator has predicted Australian speedster Mitchell Starc to become the most expensive IPL player ever breaking the record set by Pat Cummins in the 2020 auction.
Notably, Starc hasn’t played too many games in the lucrative league due to injuries or personal reasons. It is expected that the New South Wales pacer shall be available for selection this time around and franchises will target him because Starc is a top-rated death bowler. The left-arm has so far played 27 IPL games and picked up 34 wickets at an average of 20.38 with 4/15 being his best.
