IPL 2020: England, Australia Stars Start Arriving In UAE
A day before the start of IPL 2020, the star players of Australia and England have landed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 21 players from both the countries are playing in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League from different teams.

All these players have arrived in the UAE by special aircraft from Britain. Royals and later Kolkata Knight Riders tweeted pictures of some of their England and Australian contingent arriving, dressed in PPE kits.
On Thursday night, Rajasthan was the first team to announce the arrival of their English and Australian players.
Later Kolkata knight Riders (KKR) on Friday morning tweeted pictures of their star players Morgan and Tom Banton and Australian star pacer Pat Cummins reaching Abu Dhabi.
After reaching the UAE, they will have to be quarantined for only 36 hours. In such a situation, all these players will be available for the opening match of IPL. The three-ODI series between the two teams ended on Wednesday. Australia secured the ODI series 2-1 thanks to brilliant centuries from Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey.
Earlier, as per BCCI guidelines, these players were to remain in quarantine for 6 days. During this, everyone had to have a corona test on the first, third and sixth days. On the 7th day, players had to enter the bio-secure environment only after all the reports came negative. But now they will be tested for Covid-19 and if their report comes negative, these players will be able to enter their teams’ bio-secure bubble.
A franchise official had earlier said that the BCCI has done a very good job by bringing the quarantine to 36 hours. This means players from Chennai Super Kings like Josh Hazlewood and Tom Curran, Rajasthan Royals like Steve Smith, Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer will be available from the very first match of IPL 2020. Similarly, Glenn Maxwell for Kings XI Punjab and Alex Carey for Delhi Capitals will be able to play in the first match.
