IND vs ENG: India’s Harleen Deol, on Saturday produced a sensational boundary catch to remove England’s Amy Jones in the first T20, at Northampton. The catch has already been announced as “the best catch in women’s cricket history” on social media.
Deol used her brilliant athletics skills and made a hard jump at the boundary ropes, threw the ball inside the ropes. She dived forward to complete one of the most beautiful catches to have ever taken in women’s cricket.
Jones scored 43 runs off 27 balls with the help of 4 fours and a couple of sixes. She fell prey to Shikha Pandey in the 19th over where the latter went on to claim three wickets and restricted England Women at 177/7.

As long as the match is concerned, England won it by 18 runs (DLS Method). Earlier, India won the toss and offered England to bat first. England women scored 177/7 in their prescribed 20 overs. All-rounder Natalie Sciver was their top scorer as she smashed 55 runs off just 27 balls.
In reply, India got a worst start as their opener Shafali Verma went out for duck. Smriti Mandhana, who was looking set at some point went on 29 off 17. Harmanpreet Kaur, once again failed with the bat as she got dismissed for just 1 run. While Harleen was looking set, rain has done its works and match got delayed. Later, England was announced winner by 18 runs (via DLS method).
