Currently, Lucknow Super Giants is the only franchise from the state. The team was introduced in 2022. The Chief Minister’s comments highlight the state’s ambition to strengthen its role in Indian cricket.

He also encouraged players during the event. He said the state government is committed to providing world-class sports facilities.

“@UPGovt is continuously encouraging emerging players. I have full confidence that with robust infrastructure, the players of the state will perform better in sports and the field of sports. Heartfelt congratulations to all the players and best wishes for a bright future,” the Chief Minister posted.
