Rahul Dravid’s Son Goes Unsold in KSCA T20 Auction
Samit Dravid goes unsold at KSCA T20 auction after poor 2024 run despite strong red-ball performances.
The 2025 KSCA Maharaja Trophy T20 auction delivered a surprise, Samit Dravid, son of India’s cricket legend Rahul Dravid, went unsold.
A year after being part of the title-winning Mysuru Warriors side, the youngster found no takers this time around.
In 2024, Samit played seven matches for the Warriors but failed to make much impact. He scored just 82 runs at an average of 11.71, with a strike rate of 113.89.
His highest score, 33 off 24 balls, came against Gulbarga Mystics and was his only knock above 30.
Despite being a pace-bowling all-rounder, he wasn’t given a chance with the ball, and was eventually dropped from the playing XI toward the end of the season.
Rahul Dravid’s Son Misses Out
Earlier in the year, Samit had impressed many in the longer format. Playing for Karnataka in the Cooch Behar Trophy, he scored 362 runs and picked up 16 wickets across eight matches.
His 98-run knock against Jammu and Kashmir stood out, and he also chipped in with two wickets in the final against Mumbai.
Still, the auction tables didn’t turn in his favour for the T20 format.
Mysuru Warriors, who retained stars like Prasidh Krishna and captain Karun Nair, decided not to bring Samit back for the 2025 edition.
The Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 is set to begin on August 11 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. But Samit Dravid will be watching from the sidelines this time.
