Complete Schedule of Women’s T20 Challenge Series, Starting from November 4
BCCI has announced the schedule of Women's T20 Challenge Series i.e. Women's IPL. The tournament will have 4 matches including the finals between 3 teams Supernovas, Velocity and Trailblazers. The final will be played on 9 November in the UAE.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule of Women’s T20 Challenge Series i.e. Women’s IPL. The tournament will have 4 matches including the finals between 3 teams Supernovas, Velocity and Trailblazers. The final will be played on 9 November in the UAE.
Harmanpreet Kaur has been appointed as Supernovas’ captain and Mithali Raj has been appointed as Velocity’s captain while Trailblazers will be commanded by Smriti Mandhana in the Women’s T20 Challenge Series. The first match will be played on November 4 between defending champion Supernovas and last season’s runner-up Velocity.
Thailand’s Natthakan Chatham’s Debut in Women’s IPL 2020
Apart from Indian players in the three teams, players from England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh, New Zealand will also be included. Meanwhile, Thailand’s Natthakan Chatham will play the tournament for the first time, she is included in the team of trailblazers.

The Big bash League and Women’s Challenge series have a clash in their schedules. In such a situation, players who play Big Bash League will not play in T20 Challenge series.
According to the sources, if everything goes well and as per plan, the three teams may leave for the UAE in the third week of October. They will have to stay quarantine there for six days.
The Women’s T20 Challenge was first played in 2018. At that time, the only single match was played in which the Supernovas defeated the Trail Blazers. In 2019 too, the BCCI conducted 4 T20 matches between three women’s teams(Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity) in which Supernovas won the title.
