Pakistan’s left-arm pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi, has etched his name into the record books with a stunning spell during Friday night’s Vitality T20 Blast game for Nottinghamshire. In a remarkable feat, Afridi bowled the first over of the second innings and took the cricket world by storm, securing an astounding four wickets.
Defending 169, Shaheen trapped Davies LBW with a toe-crushing yorker in the first ball of the second innings, before sending Benjamin’s off-stump for a walk on the very next delivery.
In the fifth delivery of the over, Shaheen outfoxed Mousley, and Ollie Stone displayed brilliance with a sensational one-handed catch. Shaheen didn’t stop there and closed the over with yet another mesmerizing yorker, dismantling Bernanrd’s stumps.

Although Shaheen finished with figures of 4/29, his phenomenal spell couldn’t help his team win the match. A 46-ball 65 from opener Robert Yates and handy contributions from the lower order, including crucial cameos from Jacob Bethell and Jake Lintott, inspired the Bears to win the clash with two wickets in hand.
