Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Shoaib Malik met with an accident while returning home after attending the PSL 2021 Draft ceremony on Sunday (January 10).
If reports to be believed, the 38-year-old Malik’s car after losing balance got collided with a truck parked on the roadside and got badly damaged after the accident. Thankfully, Shoaib is not severely injured and escaped narrowly.
He also took to Twitter to share his condition. “I am perfectly all right everybody. It was just a happenstance accident and Almighty has been extremely Benevolent. Thank you to each one of you who’ve reached out. I am deeply grateful for all the love and care,” wrote Malik.
According to reports, Shoaib Malik’s sports car was at a high speed, due to which the balance suddenly deteriorated and the car crashed into the truck. At the time of the accident, Shoaib Malik was going home from the player draft program of Pakistan Super League. The accident took place near the National High-Performance Center.
While the veteran all-rounder cricketer was reportedly safe, his sports car sustained damages to the front side when it hit the truck near a restaurant close to the NHPC.

The Pakistan Cricket Board had organized a player draft for PSL 2021 that will run from February 20 to March 22 in Karachi and Lahore. Defending champions Karachi Kings will lock horns against Quetta Gladiators in the opening game at the National Stadium.
