The much-awaited SA20 Season 4 schedule is out, and it kicks off with a high-voltage Boxing Day clash between defending champions MI Cape Town and Durban’s Super Giants. The match will take place on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the scenic Newlands stadium.
The league’s return marks the start of the festive cricket season in South Africa, with back-to-back thrillers lined up for fans across the globe.
December 27 brings the first double-header of the season. Pretoria Capitals will meet Joburg Super Kings at Centurion in a local derby, while Paarl Royals take on Sunrisers Eastern Cape at Boland Park.
Kingsmead in Durban will host two big fixtures in the final week of December. The home side will play MI Cape Town on December 28 and Joburg Super Kings on December 30.
New Year’s Eve promises non-stop action. On December 31, Sunrisers Eastern Cape host Paarl Royals at St. George’s Park, and later that evening, MI Cape Town face Pretoria Capitals in a primetime game at Newlands.
The New Year kicks off with a bang as Joburg Super Kings take on Durban’s Super Giants at the Wanderers on January 1.
What Else to Expect
January 2 will see a fierce Cape derby as Paarl Royals meet MI Cape Town at Boland Park. Last season, both teams were unbeatable at their home venues.
The action shifts north on January 3 for “Super Saturday.” Joburg Super Kings take on Sunrisers Eastern Cape at the Wanderers, followed by Pretoria Capitals vs Durban’s Super Giants at Centurion.
The playoffs begin with Qualifier 1 on January 21, followed by the Eliminator on January 22 and Qualifier 2 on January 23. The Final will be held on January 25, though the venues for the knockout matches are yet to be announced.
