Team India has started off their ICC World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia on Sunday, October 8 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Australia captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first.
However, just moments before the match kicked off, a fan invaded the pitch, and went on to approach the former India captain, Virat Kohli. Later, he was taken out of the field forcefully by the Chennai ground staff.

Who is Jarvo?
Meanwhile, this fan isn’t your typical fan; but it’s none other than Jarvo, an Indian fan residing in England, who once stole the limelight for intruding onto the field during the 2021 England vs. India Test series.
In that series, Jarvo pulled off a double breach. First, at the Lord’s Test when England took on India, and then he did it again at Headingley, following which he was handed a lifetime ban from Leeds stadium.
