Watch: Captain Virat Kohli Engages in Heated Argument With Jos Buttler

India, on Saturday, thrashed England by 36 runs in the fifth and final T20I to clinch the series 3-2. Asked to bat first, the Virat Kohli-led side posted a mammoth total of 224 for 2 in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, England put up a good fight but their challenge eventually failed out.

There were many worth witnessing moments in the match but one moment that caught the attention of all the cricket fans was the heated argument that took place between India skipper Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler in the 13th over of England’s chasing.

Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler were seen engaged in a heated war of words after the latter’s dismissal during the 5th T20I between India and England in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Kohli, seemingly unimpressed by something Buttler said as he was walking back after being out in the 13th over, being bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, was seen charging towards Buttler.

Buttler stopped in his tracks and went back towards the pitch to continue the discussion, though what the bone of contention was between the two was not clear.

Earlier in the day, it was a fantastic batting display by the Men in Blue who have posted a massive target of 225 runs in the series decider. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli added 94 runs for the first wicket to set the platform before Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya ran riot as boundaries came by easily. Kohli topped the scoring chart with an unbeaten 80-run knock.

Chasing 225, England lost Jason Roy for a duck in the very first over but quickly recovered thanks to Dawid Malan (68 off 46) and Jos Buttler (52 off 34) 130-run partnership. Despite losing the early wicket, the duo played the big shots without any hesitation to keep their team in the hunt. Their presence on the crease clearly gave mini heart attacks to Indian fans. However, after their dismissal, the wickets kept falling and eventually, England lost the match by 36 runs.
