In the latest turn of events, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) head coach Trevor Bayliss has resigned from his position.
As per sources, the renowned coach is likely to join hands with the Sanjiv Goenka RPS Group-owned Lucknow franchise.
“He has moved on and we’ll announce the new coach soon,” an SRH official told Cricbuzz.
Earlier on Wednesday (December 1), it was confirmed that Punjab Kings assistant coach Andy Flower parted ways with the team, bringing to an end his two-year association. If reports are to be believed, he has also been approached by RPS Group-owned Lucknow franchise.
As per reports of Cricbuzz, Trevor Bayliss is in talks with Cricket Australia for the head coach role to replace T20 World Cup-winning coach Justin Langer.
Bayliss is one of the most successful coaches in cricket. Under his tenure, England won the Ashes and the 2019 World Cup. He had coached Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 and 2014 before leaving for England. The Australian coach joined SRH after the 2019 World Cup but didn’t see good time there.
