Shikhar Dhawan has touched a special milestone while playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Tuesday. The 34-year-old batsman became the fifth batsman to score five thousand runs in Indian Premier League (IPL).
Before this match, Dhawan was just 62 runs away to complete his 5000 IPL runs. He scored total 4938 runs in 168 IPL innings. Dhawan got to the milestone with a six over mid-wicket off the bowling of KXIP’s Ravi Bishnoi. He has also completed his second consecutive century in the same match.

He has achieved this feat in 168 IPL innings. He has become third-fastest batsman to touch this milestone. David Warner and Virat Kohli lead this list as they have reached this feat in just 133 and 165 matches respectively.
Meanwhile, Suresh Raina is at fourth spot and Rohit Sharma is at fifth in the same list. Suresh Raina completed his 5000 runs in 177 IPL innings and Rohit Sharma completed it in 192 innings.
