Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl first in Sharjah. Bangladesh openers Liton Das and Mohammad Naim added 40 runs within the first 6 overs with Das contributing 16 runs.
Liton Das’s innings came to an end on the 5th ball of the sixth over of Lahiru Kumara, when Liton backed towards the the leg side to pull the ball over mid-off, where Dasun Shanaka took an easy catch.
However, Kumara while celebrating his wicket swapped a few words with Liton Das as the batter was walking back to the pavilion. Things got heated up and their fellow players and on-field umpires had to intervene to calm down the duo.
