The appointments come after the departure of former coaches Eric Simons and Tommy Simsek. Donald will work under head coach Albie Morkel as the franchise prepares for the fifth edition of the tournament.

JSK have also named Evan Speechly as their new physiotherapist, completing another part of their support staff changes ahead of the upcoming season.

The franchise is also working on strengthening its squad. They have signed former Mumbai Indians star Kieron Pollard and teenage talent Jason Rowles, while retaining experienced batter Faf du Plessis.

The team has also added Andries Gous, Dayyaan Galiem and Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani to its squad. These additions bring a mix of experience, young talent and bowling strength to the side.

With changes to both the coaching staff and playing group, Joburg Super Kings will aim to build a stronger team for SA20 2027. Donald’s experience as a former international fast bowler could prove valuable as the franchise looks to improve its bowling attack.
