

The highly-anticipated auction for the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is slated to take place in Kochi on December 23 and as many as 991 players have registered for the showpiece event.
Among those 991 players, 714 are Indians while 277 are overseas. All of them are set to go under the hammer in the upcoming auction for the 2023 edition of the cash-rich league, scheduled to take place later this month.
Among them, as many as 24 players have listed their base price in the column of INR 1 Crore. Out of those 24, three are capped Indian players including former Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal.
Among foreign players, former England skipper Joe Root, Tom Latham, Martin Guptill, Kyle Jamieson, Tabraiz Shamsi, David Wiese, and many others have also registered their names for the auction and have kept their base price at INR 1 Crore.
