Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 57 runs. This is the biggest win against the Royals. With this win, Mumbai reached the top of the points table with 8 points.

In the 20th match of the 13th season of IPL, Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 57 runs. This is the biggest win against the Royals. Earlier on 11 April 2010, Royals was defeated by 37 runs in Jaipur by Mumbai Indians. With this win, Mumbai reached the top of the points table with 8 points.

In the match played in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai won the toss and gave a target of 194 runs while batting first. In reply, Rajasthan was all out by scoring 136 runs in 18.1 overs. Suryakumar Yadav scored the highest 79 runs for Mumbai.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) Poor Start

Rajasthan Royals got off to a poor start to chase the target. The team had lost 3 wickets for 12 runs. Trent Boult got Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson and brought the momentum towards Mumbai. Both batsmen could not score a single run and back to the pavilion on a duck. At the same time, Jaspreet Bumrah got Steve Smith (6) caught by de Kock.

7 Batsmen Could Not Touch The Figure of Ten

Josh Buttler scored the highest 70 runs for Rajasthan. However, he could not help his team to win this match. The team’s 7 batsmen, including captain Steve Smith and Sanju Samson, could not even touch the figure of Ten. Jasprit Bumrah took the maximum 4 wickets for Mumbai. Trent Boult and James Pattinson also got 2–2 wickets.

Suryakumar Scored His Best IPL Score

Mumbai Indians scored 193 runs losing 4 wickets in their innings. Suryakumar Yadav scored the highest 79 for the team with the help of 11 fours and 2 sixes. This is his best score in IPL. Suryakumar made his 8th FIFTY in IPL.

An Unbeaten 75-run Partnership Between Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar shared an unbeaten 75 off 38 balls for the 5th wicket with Hardik Pandya. Apart from them, Rohit Sharma scored 35, Hardik Pandya 30 and Quinton Dickock scored 23 runs. Mumbai scored 193 runs for 4 wickets. For Rajasthan, spinner Shreyas Gopal took 2 wickets, while Jofra Archer and Karthik Tyagi got 1-1 wickets.

Shreyas Gopal Missed the Hat Trick

Spinner Shreyas Gopal bowled brilliantly against Mumbai and took 2 wickets for 28 runs in 4 overs. Gopal took two wickets in the first and second balls of his third over. He got Rohit Sharma (35) caught by Rahul Tewatia and Ishaan Kishan (0) by Sanju Samson. The hat-trick ball was defended by Suryakumar Yadav.

Karthik Tyagi’s Debut

Rajasthan Royals captain Steve Smith made three changes. Karthik Tyagi, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ankit Rajput have got a chance. Robin Uthappa, Ryan Parag, Jaydev Unadkat are out of the team. This is Karthik’s debut match. At the same time, Mumbai captain Rohit has not made any changes in the playing eleven.

Suryakumar Yadav was awarded Man of the Match for his phenomenal knock of 79* off 47 deliveries with a strike rate of 168.08. He hits 11 fours and two sixes in his innings of 79 runs.
