Earlier in 2019, he was out for 99 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. This time Gayle had a chance to score his 7th century in the league, but Archer bowled him.

Punjab scored 185 runs losing 4 wickets in the match. Punjab had started poorly, losing their first wicket for 1 run. Mandeep Singh was dismissed by Jofra Archer and caught by Ben Stokes without scoring a single run.
