India posted 249/5 after being sent in to bat. Sanju Samson led the charge with 82 runs, while Ishan Kishan scored 43, Shreyas Iyer made 40 and Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 44.

Shai Hope was the star of the chase, smashing an unbeaten 102 off just 45 balls, including nine sixes. His aggressive knock kept West Indies in the hunt even after the visitors suffered an early collapse.

India made a strong start with the ball, reducing West Indies to 5/2. Mayank Yadav picked up two early wickets, putting the visitors under pressure. However, the game soon took a different turn as Hope and Sherfane Rutherford launched a stunning counterattack.

Rutherford hammered 84 off 37 balls, helping Hope build a match-winning 120-run partnership. The pair took on India’s bowlers and kept the required run rate under control, leaving the hosts struggling to find answers.

Romario Shepherd added the finishing touch with an unbeaten 34 as West Indies completed one of the greatest chases in men’s T20I history.

Heavy dew played a major role in the second innings, making it difficult for India’s bowlers to grip the ball. Spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav struggled to control the scoring as the West Indies batters continued their assault.

The match produced a combined total of 501 runs and 33 sixes. West Indies recorded their highest successful run chase, while the result also became the second-highest successful chase in men’s T20I cricket.

India’s huge total proved insufficient as Hope and Rutherford turned a difficult chase into a memorable victory. With the series level at 1-1, both teams will now look ahead to the third T20I.
