The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), on Thursday (November 24) has announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against India, starting December 4.
Tamim Iqbal has been named the captain of the ODI team while Shakib Al Hasan, who earlier Bangladesh’s last white-ball tour to Zimbabwe in July-August this year returns to the team.
Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain has been left out alongside pacer Shoriful Islam and left-arm spinner Taijul Islam. Meanwhile, BCB has persisted with the right-arm quick Ebadot Hossain, who picked two wickets in an only ODI he played against Zimbabwe earlier in July.
“We included Mosaddek in the tour of Zimbabwe for the ODIs as we did not have Shakib. As he returned in the 50-over fold, we opted to drop him,” BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin told Cricbuzz on Thursday.
