IND vs AUS: Team India and the support staff reached Sydney on Thursday, November 12. They are now under quarantine and preparing themselves for the biggest bash of the year, starting from November 27.

Meanwhile, a day after Team India started their training in Australia, pacer Mohammed Shami shared videos of his bowling practice in the net session on Sunday, November 16. In the video, he can be seen doing some bowling practice in the nets for the Border-Gavaskar Test series.

Mohammed Shami has been included in all the three formats and is likely to feature on November 27 when India will face Australia in the first ODIs at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

“There is no better feeling than to play for your country. A long wait to bowl in the #TeamIndia nets finally ended today! Looking forward to our Australian tour,” wrote Shami as a caption for a video he posted on social media that showed him running in to bowl in the nets.

Shami was the part of Kings XI Punjab in just-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. He played a major role in his team’s journey as he was a leading wicket-taker of his side. He took 20 wickets in 14 games at an economy of 8.57.

Shami has performed sensationally on their last tour to Australia in 2018-19. He picked up 16 wickets in four Tests and 5 wickets in three ODIs.

Team India is currently serving a mandatory 14-day quarantine period after arriving in Sydney. However, they are allowed to start their training after testing negative in their first Covid-19 test.

The most awaited battle between Australia and India will start from November 27 with a 3-match ODI series.

The ODI series against Australia is India’s first series after their series against South Africa got cancelled in the second week of March, just before the coronavirus lockdown paused all sporting events around the world.
