The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Tuesday announced the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 schedule. The mega event is scheduled to be played from October 17 to November 14 this year.
The tournament Qualifiers will be played from October 17 to October 22 while the main tournament will kickoff from October 23. Earlier, the ICC divided the teams into four groups, on the basis of the ICC T20 Team Rankings as of 20 March 2021.
Team India is placed in Group B alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan in the Super 12. In Group A, England, Australia, South Africa, and West Indies will compete against each other for the knockout stages.
The much-awaited India vs Pakistan clash will get underway on October 24 in Dubai before taking on New Zealand on October 31 in Dubai. Later, they will move to Abu Dhabi to play against Afghanistan on November 3. They will return to Dubai to play the two qualifiers on November 5 and 8.
Notably, team India will play a total of 4 matches in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi. None of their Super 12 matches are scheduled in Sharjah.

India vs Pakistan: October 24 – 6 PM local time in Dubai
India vs New Zealand: October 31 – 6 PM local time in Dubai
India vs Afghanistan: November 3 – 6 PM local time in Abu Dhabi
India vs B1 (qualifier): November 5 – 6 PM local time in Dubai
India vs A2 (qualifier): November 8 – 6 PM local time in Dubai.

However, Afghanistan’s participation in the mega event came under doubt after Taliban took over the country after throwing the government out of power. It remains to be seen how the situation in the country unfolds in the coming weeks.
