

England sent the Pakistan bowlers on a leather hunt as they became the first team to score 500 runs on the opening day of a Test match on Thursday, December 1 in Rawalpindi.
England broke the 112 years old record of Australia (494/6 vs South Africa, 1910) for the most runs scored on day one of a Test match after Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope and Harry Brook clobbered hundreds against Pakistan.
The Ben Stokes-led ‘Three Lions’ finished the Day 1 with the scoreboard reading 506 runs for the losss of four wickets in 75 overs. Harry Brook (101*) and skipper Ben Stokes (34*) will continue the carnage on the second day of the match.
Also, this is the first time in the history of Test cricket that as many as four players of the same team have scored hundreds on the same day.
