Rohit Sharma, on Thursday opened the innings for team India alongside KL Rahul. After throwing his wicket in the 30s in the previous Test, he had a lot to prove as a Test opener in the ongoing Test.
Sharma, who has no century in foreign conditions in the longest format of the game, was looking all set to make it big on the first day of the Lord’s Test. However, it didn’t go as expected as the 34-year old was dismissed by Anderson in the 44th over. The England pacer successfully found the gap between Rohit’s pad and bat and trapped him by his inswinger.
