Saharan led from the front, having smashed 64 runs from 94 balls. Teaming up with opener Adarsh Singh, they orchestrated an outstanding 116-run partnership, with Singh top-scoring for India with a brilliant knock of 76 runs.
Tensions arose during Saharan’s partnership with Adarsh Singh. Following the second ball of the 25th over, Saharan exchanged words with Ariful, prompting umpire Donovan Koch to intervene and defuse the situation.
The exchange’s root cause was unclear, yet replays hinted at Ariful’s words when Saharan was going for a second run in the previous ball. Upon returning to the crease, Saharan exchanged words with the Bangladesh spinner, prompting Ariful to respond before umpire intervention.

As for the match, India defeated Bangladesh by 84 runs. Chasing 252, Bangladesh were bowled out for 171 runs, with Saumy Pandey standing out as the top bowler, securing a four-wicket haul. Musheer Ahmed Khan also contributed with two wickets.
