IPL 2024: [Watch] Rishabh Pant Shows Off Kite-Flying Skills in DC vs MI Match

Rishabh Pant was spotted showing his kite-flying skills.

The Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) IPL encounter on Saturday saw an unusual break in play when a kite landed on the field at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

This quirky incident, which took place during the MI chase, left the crowd chuckling as Rishabh Pant, the DC skipper, attempted his hand at some kite-flying.

The day began with a record-breaking performance by the DC batters, who put a mammoth 257/4 after being put to bat first.

However, the start of the MI chase was already delayed due to a near-miss for DC’s Lizaad Williams, who almost suffered an ankle injury.

Just as things seemed to be getting underway, a kite came fluttering down onto the pitch, forcing a short break in the action.

Rohit Sharma, the MI captain, picked it up and playfully handed it to Pant, who was stationed behind the wickets.

While the square leg umpire was approaching to remove the kite, Pant decided to take a moment to see if he could fly it. This moment is going viral on social media now:
