Pathirana sent shockwaves through the Delhi Capitals lineup with two stunning deliveries in one over. He first clean bowled Mitchell Marsh with a blistering 150 km/h yorker, then followed it up by knocking over Tristan Stubbs with a lightning-fast 149 km/h yorker.

While Marsh could manage 18 runs, Stubbs failed to open his account. Later, Pathirana claimed the wicket of Delhi Capitals captain, Rishabh Pant, who had punished him with sixes and two back-to-back boundaries in a single over. Pathirana’s spell concluded with figures of 3/31 in four overs.
