Hardik Pandya left Gujarat Titans and rejoined his former team Mumbai Indians ahead of IPL 2024.
The Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) rivalry is taking a new turn as the former captain of Gujarat Titans, Hardik Pandya, who is now the new captain of Mumbai Indians, arrived for the toss during the fifth match of the IPL 2024 and got booed by the Ahmedabad crowd.
It all happened because Hardik Pandya, who led Gujarat Titans for consecutive seasons, including leading them to victory in the 2022 season and to the finals, left the Gujarat Titans and joined his former team, Mumbai Indians, in a monetary deal ahead of IPL 2024.
Ahmedabad fans are bound to express dissatisfaction with Hardik Pandya’s choice. Moreover, with his departure, Shubman Gill has been named captain of the Gujarat Titans, set to make his captaincy debut against the Mumbai Indians.
