Rajasthan Royals after putting to bat first got a decent start as both the openers Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal were involved in a half-century partnership before Romario Shepherd broke the stand and sent Jaiswal (20 off 16) back to the pavilion.

Umran Malik, just after two overs trapped Jos Buttler (35 off 28), who was looking set and dangerous, reducing Rajasthan Royals to 75/2. Skipper Sanju Samson (55 off 27) then joined hands with Yashasvi Jaiswal and stitched a 73 runs partnership before Malik bowled the latter for 41 runs.

The final assault by Shimron Hetmyer (32 off 13) and Riyan Parag (12 off 9) propelled Rajasthan Royals to the mammoth score of 210.

SunRisers Hyderabad, in reply, got off to a terrible start as none of their four top batters could manage to cross the 10 run-mark. Aiden Markram (57 off 41), Washington Sundar (40 off 14) and Romario Shepherd (24 off 18) were some top contributors for Hyderabad as they lost the match by 61 runs.
