Royal Challengers Bangalore’s key spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has touched a special figure while playing against Kings XI Punjab on Thursday (October 12) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
The 30-year-old leg-spinner completed his 200 T20 wickets. With this, he became the fifth India bowler to achieve this feat. Before this match, Chahal got 199 wickets in 179 T20s as he was the only one wicket away to complete 200 wickets in T20 career.
Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli, who was playing his 200th T20 match for RCB, decided to bat first after winning the toss. At the end of the first innings, RCB scored 171 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs.
In the second innings of the match, RCB leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal completed his 200 T20 wickets. As he was just 1 wicket away from making the record, he bowled KXIP opener batsman Mayank Agarwal on the final ball of the 8th over and completed his 200 wickets in T20 cricket.
