IND vs ENG: Four Records Broken As India Survive Sam Curran Scare in Nail-Biting Decider to Win Series 2-1

IND vs ENG: India defeated England in a nail-biting decider by 7 runs and won the ODI series by 3-1, scripted four records in the final match.

IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: Despite an astonishing effort from all-rounder Sam Curran, India have grabbed a 7-run victory against England in the third ODI. Following this win, India has won the three-match ODI series 2-1.

This was also India’s 4th successive home series victory in ODIs, a run that began after the 2019 World Cup and the 2nd time India have won series in all 3 formats against a touring England side.

How did the match pan out?

Earlier in the match, England won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first, Indian made a brilliant start, with Dhawan and Rohit Sharma adding over 100 runs. Thereafter, the likes of Pant (78) and Hardik Pandya (64) took India past 200 with a 99-run stand. Eventually, they were bundled out for 329.

In reply, the English batsmen failed to make a good start and hence failed to steal a win despite Sam Curran’s brilliant knock (95*).

With Indian winning the series, let us look at the four records scripted in the final ODI.
