Sylhet Strikers continued their winning streak in the BPL 2024-25 with a thrilling 8-run victory over Khulna Tigers in Match 17. Batting first, Sylhet posted a strong total of 185 runs for the loss of five wickets, thanks to an incredible performance by their young star Zakir Hasan.

Zakir Hasan Shines Again

Zakir Hasan played a brilliant knock, remaining unbeaten on 75 runs from just 46 balls. His innings included three boundaries and six towering sixes. This was his second consecutive half-century in the tournament, showing his consistency and talent.

Rony Talukdar also played an important role by giving the team a solid start. He scored 56 runs off 44 balls, building a strong platform for the middle order. Towards the end, USA’s Aaron Jones added quick runs, smashing 20 off just six deliveries, which helped Sylhet reach 185.

Khulna Tigers Fall Short

In reply, Khulna Tigers fought hard but fell short by 8 runs. They managed to score 174 runs while losing nine wickets. Despite their efforts, Sylhet Strikers held their nerves and secured their second consecutive victory.
