Yo-Yo Test Dates Out For Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul – Kohli’s Schedule Yet To Be Confirmed
Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will take Yo-Yo fitness tests on August 30-31, while Virat Kohli’s date is yet to be finalised.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul are set to take their Yo-Yo fitness tests at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru on August 30 and 31. According to journalist Rohit Juglan (RevSportz), Virat Kohli’s test schedule is still undecided.
Rohit Eyes India A Return Before Australia ODIs
Rohit has not played since the IPL ended, fuelling chatter about his future in ODIs. To regain rhythm, he is expected to feature in India A’s one-day matches against Australia A in Kanpur on September 30, October 3 and 5. Those games will serve as preparation for India’s three-match ODI series against Australia starting October 19.
At 38, Rohit has already stepped away from T20Is and Tests. Speculation suggests this year’s Australia tour could mark his final stretch in India colours, though fans still dream of seeing him at the 2027 World Cup.
Rahul To Prove Fitness Ahead Of Busy Schedule
KL Rahul, fresh from a solid Test series in England, will also take the fitness test. The wicketkeeper-batter is looking to stay sharp with a packed international calendar approaching.
If Rohit does bow out after the Australia series, Indian cricket will face the challenge of finding a replacement for one of its most prolific openers.
