WPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women Clinch Second WPL Title With Record Chase Against Delhi Capitals Women
RCB win WPL 2026 final after record 204 chase as Smriti Mandhana stars with 87 against Delhi Capitals in Vadodara.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women beat Delhi Capitals Women by six wickets on February 5, 2026, to win their second Women’s Premier League title. The final in Vadodara turned into a run fest, with RCB pulling off a record chase to seal the trophy.
Delhi Capitals put up 203 for 4, the highest total ever in a WPL final. Captain Jemimah Rodrigues led the scoring with a fluent 57, anchoring the innings from the middle order. Chinelle Henry added late fireworks, smashing an unbeaten 35 off just 15 balls.
RCB’s chase began with early pressure, but skipper Smriti Mandhana took control quickly. She attacked from the start and kept the asking rate in check, playing one of the best knocks in WPL history.
Mandhana and Georgia Voll stitched together a stunning 165-run partnership for the second wicket. It was the highest stand for any wicket in the league and completely shifted the game in RCB’s favour.
Mandhana’s 87 came off just 41 balls and was packed with clean hitting and smart placement. Voll played the perfect support role, scoring 79 off 54 deliveries and rotating strike under pressure.
RCB did wobble late as quick wickets fell in the final overs. The chase went down to the wire, but Radha Yadav kept her calm and struck two fours in the last over to finish the match with two balls left.
In a match where over 400 runs were scored, RCB pacer Lauren Bell stood out with the ball. She conceded just 19 runs in her four overs, applying control when most bowlers struggled.
Mandhana’s season ended on a high as she finished with 377 runs, earning the Orange Cap. Her consistency at the top played a big role in RCB topping the league stage with six wins from eight matches.
For Delhi Capitals, the heartbreak continued. This was their fourth straight runner-up finish, having reached every WPL final since the league began but falling short each time.
With this win, Royal Challengers Bengaluru now have two WPL titles, from 2024 and 2026. They draw level with Mumbai Indians as the most successful teams in Women’s Premier League history.
