“Win It for Kohli”: RCB Skipper Rajat Patidar’s Emotional Pledge Ahead of IPL 2025 Final

RCB captain Rajat Patidar says the team will give their best in the final to win the IPL trophy for Virat Kohli, who has given many years to the franchise.

The stage is set for the IPL 2025 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings. Ahead of the big clash, RCB captain Rajat Patidar has said that the team will give their best to win the title, especially for Virat Kohli, who has given so much to the franchise over the years.

Team Aims to Win It for Kohli

Speaking ahead of the final, Patidar acknowledged Kohli’s contribution to the team. “He has given a lot of years to RCB. We are not thinking about the stage, we are in the finals, but our focus is to play the best cricket,” Patidar said.

Kohli has played in three IPL finals 2009, 2011, and 2016 but has not won the title so far. Despite some brilliant personal performances, RCB couldn’t lift the trophy in any of those seasons.

Patidar Grateful for the Opportunity

This will be Rajat Patidar’s first final as an IPL captain. While Shreyas Iyer on the other side has already led three different franchises to finals, Patidar is focusing on learning and keeping the environment calm.

“I have enjoyed this journey. It’s a big opportunity to learn from great Indian and overseas players. Their different ideas are helping me improve as a leader,” he said.

Patidar also spoke about his approach to leadership, saying, “I always try to create a good environment off the field. Whether a domestic or international player, I want everyone to feel the same – relaxed and confident.”

With RCB still chasing their first-ever IPL trophy, all eyes will be on whether this year’s final turns into a fairytale ending for Virat Kohli.
