Who is Arshad Khan? The Former Mumbai Indians Star Who Smashed a 25-Ball 50 for LSG in IPL 2024

Arshad Khan, Lucknow Super Giants’ new star all-rounder, has taken the cricketing world by storm with his phenomenal batting performance against Delhi Capitals.

Chasing a mammoth 208-run target, Arshad Khan smashed a brilliant 58 off just 33 balls, though LSG eventually fell short by 19 runs, in what was their must-win game to stay alive in the playoffs race.

Overall, in IPL 2024, Arshad has played three matches in which he has picked up a wicket and scored 83 runs at a strike rate of 156 and an average of 83.

Ever since he played a blistering knock, people are curious to know who Arshad Khan is and why LSG were keeping him hidden when they needed him the most?

Arshad Khan is a Madhya Pradesh all-rounder. He got famous for his outstanding performance in the 2019-20 CK Nayudu Trophy, where he emerged as the leading wicket-taker with 35 scalps. That year, he also showcased his all-round capabilities by scoring 400 runs for Madhya Pradesh.

Prior to his LSG stint, Arshad Khan’s consistent performances in domestic tournaments earned him a spot with the Mumbai Indians in the 2022 auction.

However, an injury ruled him out for the entire season, and he was replaced by Kumar Kartikeya.
Though MI retained him for 2023, he only managed five wickets in six matches.
