“We have enough time to finalize a 15-member squad for the World Cup. The ICC has set a deadline of May 25 to submit the names of 15 players for the T20 World Cup. There is no wisdom in announcing the World Cup squad at this point. We can take the opportunity to watch the players’ progress during the Ireland and England series before naming the squad,” a Pakistan Cricket Team official told The News.
Positive news arrives on the injury front, with key players like Mohammad Rizwan, Azam Khan, and Irfan Niazi nearing full fitness. Even Haris Rauf, who has been out since January, is undergoing training and could be considered for the upcoming tours.
