Virat Kohli Gets Lucky As Chameera Drops His Catch Off His Own Bowling During IND vs SL World Cup Clash

Virat Kohli survived two caught and bowled chances on Dushmantha Chameera's bowling during IND vs SL World Cup Clash

Indian batting giant Virat Kohli got lucky early in his innings when Sri Lanka’s Dushmantha Chameera grassed a chance to dismiss him for just 10 runs, off his own bowling on Thursday (Nov 2) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

It all happened on the first delivery of the sixth over, as Chameera delivered a full-length ball on the stumps. Kohli attempted a flick but closed his bat face too soon, resulting in a leading edge to the left of Chameera, who stretched his left hand and managed to touch the ball, but he couldn’t hold on, even after a second attempt, as he tumbled.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl first. India are heading into this game without any change in their playing XI. If they manage to win this game, they will qualify for the semi-finals and will become the first team to do so in the ongoing tournament.
