England legendary pacer James Anderson, on Monday touched the exclusive 1000 first-class wickets milestone. The 38-year-old veteran reached the feat during Lanchashire’s County championship game against Kent by picking the wicket of Heino Kuhn.
Anderson is the most prolific fast bowler in the history of Test cricket, with 617 wickets to his name, and touched the milestone during an incredible new-ball spell for his home county when he dismissed Heino Kuhn.
Representing Lancashire, Anderson bagged a seven-wicket haul, at the time of writing, en route to claiming the milestone. Zak Crawley, Jordon Cox, Oliver Robinson, Jack Leaning, Heino Kuhn, Matt Milnes, and Harry Podmore were Anderson’s victims as Kent, on day two, were reduce to 54/9 after 24 overs.
