Team India rode on the breathtaking performance from captain Uday Saharan and Adarsh Singh and a four-wicket haul by Saumy Pandey to beat Bangladesh by 84 runs in their first match of the ongoing Under-19 World Cup 2024 on Saturday, January 20, at Manguang Oval, Bloemfontein.
Batting first, Team India recorded a total of 251 runs on the scoreboard, losing seven wickets in the designated 50 overs. Adarsh Singh showcased his prowess as the top run-scorer, amassing 76 runs, with Uday Saran contributing 64 runs from 94 deliveries.
In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out for 167 runs in 45.5 overs, with Saumya Pandey showcasing an exceptional bowling performance, taking four wickets, while Musheer Ahmed Khan contributed with two wickets. Apart from them, Arshin Kulkarni and Priyanshu Moliya picked up two wickets each.
