South Africa Announce Playing XI For WTC Final vs Australia

South Africa will face Australia in the WTCH Final 2025 at Lord's Cricket Ground on 11th June

South Africa have named their playing XI for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia. The big match will be played at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London from June 11 (Wednesday).

It is one of the biggest matches in South Africa’s cricket history as they aim to win their first major ICC title in over two decades.

Just a year ago, not many expected South Africa to reach the WTC Final. But under the leadership of Temba Bavuma, the Proteas made a strong comeback and secured their place in the summit clash.

This match is not only about skill and talent but also about choosing the right players. In the past, South Africa have made some strange selection calls in big matches.

The most famous one was during the 2015 ODI World Cup when they dropped Kyle Abbott and played Vernon Philander in the semi-final, which many believe cost them the game.

This time, the team has decided to go with a mix of youth and experience.
