Shaheen Afridi Hits Afif Hossain On His Leg; Twitterati Demand One-Match Ban

Pakistan is on a tour of Bangladesh for a 3-match T20I series and a 2-match Test series. Meanwhile, Pakistan has already won the first match of 3-match series and is currently playing the second match of the series against Bangladesh at Shere Bangla Stadium,
Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first, they got off to a bad start as both of their openers went out early. However, something happened in the 3rd over of the first inning, which has made Bangladesh fans furious.
Shaheen Afridi, who was bowling his second over of his spell got smashed by a huge six on the second ball by Afif Hossain. Afridi then bowled a good length delivery, which Afif pushed back at the bowler. Afridi collected the ball, turned around and flung a throw at the batter, hitting him low on the ankle, which was clearly unprotected. The batter fell down in pain and the physio was immediately called out in the middle.
Shaheen Afridi later apologised for his unnecessary throw but it could have been nasty for the batter. Luckily, Afif continued batting, putting a smile on his face again.

Twitter looked disappointed with Shaheen’s behavior and urged the ICC to ban him for a match or series for his unnecessary on-field aggression.
