Rohit Sharma’s Cricket Academy in Dubai Shuts Down; Coaches Unpaid, Parents Demand Refunds – Report
Rohit Sharma-backed cricket academy in Dubai shuts down, leaving coaches unpaid and parents demanding refunds.

A cricket academy launched under Rohit Sharma’s name in Dubai has shut down, and left parents and coaches without refunds or salaries.
The closure was first reported by Khaleej Times and has affected over 30 families who enrolled in the hope of top-tier training under the CricKingdom by Rohit Sharma banner.
Parents say they were drawn in by Rohit’s brand and paid full-year fees, but by April 2025, classes grew irregular. By mid-May, the academy had stopped completely. Coaches say they haven’t been paid in months, with some struggling to pay rent.
Founder Suhas Pudota blamed poor planning and high costs. He left the UAE in April but claims he will return pending payments soon. So far, no refunds have been issued.
CricKingdom has cut ties with Grasport and says it will relaunch independently in September. Dubai authorities have frozen Grasport’s accounts, and an investigation is ongoing.
For now, frustrated parents and unpaid staff await answers.
