Rishabh Pant Fully Fit to Lead Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024

Rishabh Pant will not keep wickets for first seven games

Delhi Capitals‘ co-owner, Parth Jindal, has confirmed that Rishabh Pant will lead the team in IPL 2024, opting out of wicketkeeping duties for the first half of the season.

Parth shared that Pant has begun his wicketkeeping regimen and is actively involved in batting and running routines.

Here’s what Parth Jindal told ESPNCricinfo:

“Rishabh is batting. He’s running. He has started his wicketkeeping. He is likely to be fully fit for the IPL. I am expecting Rishabh to play IPL and he will lead from match one.”

“First seven games, we are going to play him only as a batter and depending on how his body reacts, we will take a call for the rest of the IPL.”

Following a life-threatening accident in December 2022, Pant has made considerable strides. Engaging in practice matches at Alur, he also posted an Instagram video displaying his goalkeeping abilities. His return promises significant advantages for the Capitals.
