PSL 2023: Harry Brook, Alex Hales, & Adil Rashid To Miss Upcoming Edition

Alex Hales is expected to miss few games in 2023 edition of PSL.

England’s star players Adil Rashid and Harry Brook will not be participating in the upcoming 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League, set to begin on February 13th.

Rashid, who was drafted in by the Multan Sultans during the player drafts in December, will miss the entire season due to his national team commitments. The runner-ups of the 2022 season will now look for a potential replacement for Adil Rashid.

The Singapore all-rounder, Tim David, South Africa’s batting maestro David Miller, and Akeal Hosein will also miss a few games for Multan Sultan and the team will look for perfect substitutes for these players.

Meanwhile, Harry Brook, who played a huge role in Lahore Qalandar’s success last year will also miss the tournament and the defending champions will now be on the hunt for a replacement for the Englishman.

The Lahore Qalandars will also be without the services of Jordan Cox and Rashid Khan for the first three games. The likes of Moeen Ali, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Alex Hales, and Fazalhaq Farooqui will also miss a few games for Islamabad United.

Peshawar Zalmi will be looking for Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and Rovman Powell’s partial replacements during the replacement draft, slated to take place on January 25. Quetta Gladiators will be searching Wanindu Hasaranga, Jason Roy, and Odean Smith’s replacement.

When Will Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 Start?

The 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League is set to commence on February 13th with a curtain raiser scheduled to be played between the current champions, Lahore Qalandars, and the newly crowned champions of 2021, Multan Sultans at Multan Cricket Stadium.
