In a recent development, Mohammed Shami and Suryakumar Yadav are set to replace Shardul Thakur and Hardik Pandya in India’s starting lineup for the upcoming match against New Zealand, scheduled for Sunday, October 22 in Dharamsala.
While Hardik Pandya has suffered an ankle injury in their last match against Bangladesh in Pune and has been ruled out for the next couple of matches, Shardul Thakur’s bowling has been underwhelming so far in the tournament, as he has often been taken to the cleaners by the opposition.
Team India has been in brilliant form, having won all four matches they’ve played in the tournament. They are currently in the second spot on the points table and will be looking to dethrone New Zealand from the top position by winning this game.
