Mithali Raj, Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur To Lead Women’s T20 Challenge Squads
BCCI have announced the squad for Women's T20 Challenge Series which is going to held in the UAE. Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana have been selected as captains for their respective franchises.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the squad for Women’s T20 Challenge Series which is going to held in the UAE. Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana have been selected as captains for their respective franchises. The Challenge series is scheduled to start from November 4 in the UAE and it will conclude on November 9.
According to the official media release of Cricket Board, the Indian women’s cricket will combine with some of the star players from South Africa, England, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and New Zealand in a Women’s Challenge series 2020.
Thailand’s Natthakan Chatham, who scored her country’s first Women’s T20 World Cup half-century, adds another feather to her cap as she will become the first Thai cricketer to feature in the tournament, the release added.
Three matches will be played in the Women’s Challenge series between November 4 to 7. Final will take place on November 9. In the inaugural match, Supernovas will lock horns with Velocity.
The All-India Women’s Selection Committee picked the three squads.
