Jhye Richardson Ruled Out Of First Half of IPL 2024

Delhi Capitals co-owner provided an important update on Jhye Richardson.

Delhi Capitals star pacer, Jhye Richardson, could potentially sit out in the first half of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season due to a side strain, co-owner Parth Jindal confirmed.

Since the latter phase of the BBL, Richardson has been sidelined due to injury, which also ruled him out of the recent home series against West Indies. The Capitals had acquired Richardson for INR 5 crore during the December mini-auction.

However, the team can take comfort in the comeback of South African speedster Anrich Nortje, who returns after a hiatus since September 2023 due to a groin injury, having missed the World Cup but gearing up for IPL 2024.
