Team India has made it to the final of the Under-19 World Cup after defeating South Africa in a thrilling semi-final encounter by two wickets. This is the fifth consecutive time that Team India has reached the final of the Under-19 World Cup, and overall, it’s the ninth time.

He put up a record 171-run partnership with captain Uday Saharan.
Following Sachin Dhas’ remarkable performance in the semi-final, his father spoke with PTI, discussing various topics and revealing how he prioritised his son’s cricket development by refraining from allowing him to attend public gatherings like birthday parties or weddings.
“Sachin ka koi dost nahi hai. Main hi uska dost hun. Koi shaadi, koi janamdin kahin gaya nahi. Cricket se focus hate, aisa kuch karne maine diya hi nahi (He has no friends. I am his only friend. I have never allowed him to attend marriages, birthday parties so that his focus never wavers),” Sanjay Dhas said.
Sanjay Dhas further opened up on his son’s jam-packed schedule and intense training sessions. He also credited Azhar, the son’s coach, stating that without him, he would not have been able to achieve what he has.
“Four hours in the morning and three and half hours in the evening, including gym work. It’s seven and half hours per day. I must give credit to Azhar, his coach. Without him, we wouldn’t have seen this day.”
